Mantoloking officials call out five beach front property owners during this week's council meeting for refusing to sign easements to give access for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to beach protection project.

The borough is working with the State Attorney General's office and has hired its own special counsel to to pursue litigation and possibly initiate eminent domain proceedings.

According to the Asbury Park Press, borough resident Chris Nelsen, who's serving as Special Council Tuesday, identified the residents as The Teixiera family of 1067 Ocean Ave., Donna Walsh of 1513 Ocean Ave., the Maltese family of 1071 Ocean Ave., the Roberts/Gusmer family of 1121 Ocean Ave. and the Hartzband family of 1217 Ocean Ave.

Holdout property owners were given three deadlines to submit signed easements but as of the final June 1st deadline the five have not complied.
