I wanted to show you photographic proof that I kept my promise to play in the snow during yesterday's storm.  As you can see from the picture, I made a snow angel and it was fun for about 10 seconds.

Then I started to make a snowman.  And I got frustrated.  And critical of myself.  "Why does it keep breaking apart?  Why isn't the base strong enough?  I'm afraid I'm not doing this right."  All of my dumb Type A adult thoughts had gotten in the way of my plans to be like a kid and have some fun.  So my experiment was short-lived.  I will say again that I really did enjoy the snow angel so I'll celebrate that very small victory.  The rest though?   A grown-up fail.

Speaking of children, one of the nice things about yesterday was to hear the neighborhood kids squealing with delight as they were on their sleds enjoying their snow day.

The other thing I liked about the storm was how pretty everything looked.  And there was a quiet peacefulness with hardly any cars on the road.

I hope you managed okay with the Nor'easter.  And if you were impacted with a power outage or fender bender, I hope things get back on track for you soon.

Now, who's ready for actual Spring weather???
