My First Book

I love photography as a hobby and I enjoy sharing my photos, from right here at the Jersey Shore. I hope you enjoy taking some time to relax and take a look, as I share my visions with you. We live in a beautiful place. From the fantastic beaches along the Atlantic Ocean to the forests of the Pine Barrens ... It's truly a beautiful place! ~ Shawn Michaels

It has always been a dream of mine to publish a book, and to tie it in to my hobby of photography. So to see this project through, makes me so very happy. I have loved taking photos since college and with the shore as the theme, it came out just as I had hoped. This book is just how I like them: lots of pictures and not so many words! I hope you like it.

This collection has been several years in the making, with photos from all over the Jersey Shore. From Asbury Park to Cape May ... there's a little of everything here. I wanted to do something that shows how great our home is. So if you live in Alaska and read it, you'd get a good visual of where we call home, not what late night comedians like to stereotype us as.

The book is called "Jersey Shore ... A Photographic Journal".  With today's technology it has made it possible to put a project like this together both in print and on-line for your Kindle! It will definitely not be my last and I hope to keep improving on my work. What I love about photography is that there are no rules, at least I don't believe so, it's what you capture in your lens and it's yours.

I have lived here almost my entire life and take a lot of pride in the Jersey Shore, so it's nice to have this on my coffee table to remind us of why we love it here .....
