An Ocean County grand jury delivered a true indictment for murder, conspiracy and weapons counts against Daniele RomeodiSantillo, 27, of Manalapan, and Hector Calderon, 48, of Freehold Borough, according to County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato's office.

RomeodiSantillo and Jackson PD officer Eric Prosniewski, 45, of Jackson, were indicted for hindering and conspiracy to hinder.

Plea bargains on the part of any defendants would circumvent the need for trials by jury.

On April 9, just after 11 PM, Jackson police found the lifeless, bullet-riddled body of Peyman Sanandaji, 34, of Jackson, on the floor of Casanova Restorante on South New Prospect Road.

Ocean County investigators alleged that Peyman was shot during an argument with Calderon.  He was arrested at his dwelling in Freehold Borough within hours.

Investigators then determined that RomeodiSantillo was involved in the discussion that led to the altercation, and was present when the shooting occurred. He turned himself in April 17.

Prosniewski was arrested May 14 for allegedly giving county investigators false information.

Prosniewski was subsequently suspended without pay, and his status remains unchanged. Authorities said that he was off-duty at the time, and that hii alleged involvement did not touch on his role as an officer.
