Police say that Wayne Adams of Wrightstown locked up the brakes of his motorcycle while trying to avoid another car, a white vehicle with 2 people inside, causing the motorcycle to flip end over end.

During the motorcycle’s tumble, it struck a 1995 Ford Explorer going eastbound on Route 70, shattering the rear driver’s side window. No one inside the Ford was injured.

Adams was flown from the crash in Manchester to Jersey Shore University Center in Neptune, where he's listed in critical condition. The motorcyclist was the only person hurt in the accident.

The accident closed Route 70 between the Lakehurst Circle and Colonial Drive for nearly two hours.

Anyone with information regarding the white car should call Manchester Police at 732-657-2009 ext 4400.
