A minivan travelling westbound on Indian Head Road turned left in front of the motorcyclist onto Oak Ridge Parkway around 5:30 p.m., according to police department spokesman Ralph Stocco.

The victim was airlifted to a trauma center. The accident backed up traffic for several hours.

Friday morning, 26-year-old Zachary Kane of Toms River died from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident the night before.
