LAKEWOOD — A mother allegedly assaulted a coach and another student when the buses returned from a school football team's game on Friday night.

The incident began between two students on the bus following the Lakewood High School Piners game against Pinelands Regional High School in Tuckerton, the Lakewood Scoop reported. When the bus arrived in Lakewood, the mother of a girl involved in the fight assaulted the other student, the article states. The mother also allegedly punched a female coach who tried to break up the altercation, according to the report, and then ran off

Lakewood Police confirmed there was a fight on the bus and there was an assault at the high school on Friday night by a parent, but no arrests were made. Police said they will be reviewing video of the incident taken by the bus' video system.

Lakewood won the game 22-13.
