An early morning crash on Route 37 East in Island Heights leaves a snarl at West End Avenue that's likely to continue until tomorrow - and will probably keep about 125 homes without electricity for the duration.

Police say a car sailed out of its lane, snapped a utility pole and landed on its roof at about 5:30 AM.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department reported that one lane would be open at the intersection for the next 24 hours during repairs by Jersey Central Power & Light.
