Twenty Ocean County Families are expected to get extra help in buying their first homes this year through a first-time homebuyers program. Reports say the board of Freeholders renewed its contract with O.C.E.A.N. Inc that released $195-thousand dollars in federal grants to help low to moderate income families make down payments or cover closing cost.

Freeholder Gerry Little says the program has helped 430 families since 1994.
