As we've been moving through the 2017 Ocean County School Spirit Competition, Point Pleasant Borough has absolutely owned the last few rounds and took the Ocean County championship. The big question was whether they could keep that momentum going against the Monmouth County winners or not.

And let me tell you, it was a nail biter!

Ok, who am I kidding? It wasn't even close!

Point Boro absolutely steamrolled Monmouth Regional to keep the bragging rights here in Ocean County. Just take a look at the final tally:

2017 All Shore School Spirit Finals

I mean, really what else is there to say? Point Boro came out in force and voted just like they had for the last few rounds of the Ocean County competition.

If that isn't the definition of school spirit, I don't know what is!

So this makes it a clean sweep for all of the high school competitions that we've run between Ocean County and Monmouth County, going back to this past spring's Mascot Madness (TR South), last fall's School Spirit (Manchester), and all the way back to spring 2016's inaugural Mascot Madness (TR East).

A huge congratulations to both Point Pleasant Borough and everyone in Ocean County for continuing to show that when it comes to local pride, you can't beat Ocean County!
