A New Year's Eve bash flowing with alcohol is not unusual. However, in Monmouth's Ocean Township all the revelers were underage.

Township police responded to a house on Polbos Parkway just before 11 p.m. on a noise complaint and discovered alcoholic beverages being served to minors. Infact, police said one male juvenile was so intoxicated that he had to be transported to Monmouth Medical Center for treatment.

Police took 26 juveniles and their 18-year-old host Constantinos Poniros into custody. All the juveniles were released to the custody of their parents or guardians and charges against them will be referred to the Monmouth County Family Division Court for disposition.

Poniros faces a future municipal court date on possession of alcoholic beverages on private property while being under the legal age.
