Monmouth residents robbed at gunpoint in house
A search heats up for two suspects who allegedly entered a one-family house in Monmouth's Ocean Township and robbed the inhabitants at gunpoint Sunday night.
According to township police, officers responded to a report from a Spruce Avenue dwelling at about 8:30 PM, by which time both suspects had vanished.
Both had black handguns and took personal possessions, and no one was injured, police said.
Both are described as black males in their mid-20s. One is believed to be in his mid-20s, about 5'10" tall, and was wearing a Champion hooded sweatshirt.
The second is estimated to stand about 6'3" in height, and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark shoes and a black mask over his face.
