Burry was inducted into the FOP's Superiors Lodge #30 earlier this month at the annual gala.

The gala recognizes retiring lodge members who have shown exceptional contributions to the FOP.

"I am honored to receive this recognition from such a distinguished organization," said Freeholder Burry. "These fine men and women share their commitment to public service in their jobs and they continue to support many charitable organizations in the after-hours. Their generosity of time, talents and funds is commendable."

Special presentations this year included FOP National Trustee, Ron Bakley receiving the "Law Enforcement Professional of the Year," and  Rick Leclerque who was awarded the "Person of the Year."

This isn't Burry's first award from FOP Lodge #30.  In 2008, she won the first ever "Person of the Year" award.

"Many people. including those attending the gala, were responsible for my nomination in 2008," said Burry. "I want to again thank them for this honor."
