Howell Township Police along with the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office continue investigating a grim discovery found this afternoon of skeletal remains along Ramtown-Greenvill Road.

Police say the skeletal remains were found in a wooded area by surveyors performing bridge work.

The area remains an active investigation.

This section of the road was already closed as a result of the bridge collapse.

A source with knowledge of the early investigation tells WOBM News that the New Jersey State Police Anthropologist Medical Examiner was also on the scene.
