The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office is now involved in the investigation of a fire that engulfed two homes on Harmony Avenue in Middletown early Sunday.

One of the homes (16 Harmony Avenue) was uninhabited, but nobody was in the 14 Harmony Avenue house at the time of the fire.

There are no injuries being reported.

What caused the fire remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office and Middletown Police Department .

Witnesses are urged to contact the prosecutors office or Middletown police.
