Mom, “You Smell Like Ham”–Sue’s Mommy Blog
For the first 5 years I had a Mommy Blog about my daughter Abby’s life and what it was like for me as a first time Mommy. Well now she’s an 8 year old Diva and I’ve decided to bring back the Mommy Blog. Her life and what she does is just so funny, it’s too funny not to talk about or write about! It’s time to share our adventures with you again. Wow, I can't believe she's 8 already. Time flies. Sue's Mommy BlogThis morning I'm taking Abby to her babysitter and she says to me, "Mom, you smell like ham"? "You smell like our dinner from last night"? I wasn't expecting that. But it was funny. This little 8 year old has to get up every morning at 4:30 am so I can take her to her babysitters house--she usually doesn't say much but today she was funny. And every morning she asks me if she really has to get up this early. It's been 4 years now that I had to start getting her up early and she still asks me every day. So as we talked about it on the show this morning, I warned Shawn and told him I smelled like ham.
Last week we could sleep in a little bit. We went to Disney. We always have so much fun when we visit with Mickey and Minnie. Here's how I do the trip to Disney World...relax, relax and more relaxing. I know it's hard to do that there but I make sure I don't cram a lot in a week. I make sure we have 2 days swimming in the pool and that's all we do and maybe a character breakfast in the same day. Then a park..then take a break and then a park another day. That's how I do the Disney roll. I'm not one of those Mom's that comes home from Florida and says I need a vacation after my vacation. My tip to you if you do Disney...take your time, rest and make it fun. If you don't get through everything in one trip, it's OK! Make sure the kids aren't rushing everywhere, going to every park every second of the vacation and just take a break and look at them smile while hugging their favorite characters. That's how I make the best memories at Disney!
