MLK Remembered With A Concert
As we remember the life of Martin Luther King Junior, the Manchester Township Middle and High School Gospel Chorus will celebrate his legacy with an annual tradition.
2014 marks 46 years since King was shot and killed while supporting equal rights on a trip to Tennessee. For the last 45, the Gospel Chorus has held a concert in his honor.
Guest speakers include the originator of the Gospel Chorus and former guidance counselor, Ms. Queen Cannon, and Superintendent of Schools, Mr. David Trethaway.
Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors and children over 3, and free for Manchester District students with a school photo ID. The program will be followed by refreshments.
The special tribute will be held inside the Manchester Township High School auditorium at 7.
