Renee LaManna's family "loves and misses her and wants her home." The New Jersey woman went missing more than two decades ago and now police are asking for the public's help following a possible sighting in South Carolina.

Ocean City native Renee LaManna, 57, went missing on Jan. 8, 1994. According to pix11.com, Greenville, South Carolina police believe she may have been spotted recently at a Walmart store in that area.

"There was a North Carolina Law Enforcement sighting of Renee on Oct. 27-30, 2014 in Asheville, North Carolina. In addition, Renee may have been seen in South Chesterfield, Virginia on Feb. 20 and again on Feb. 22 and 23, 2015 on Interstate 95 at Exit 58 on the southbound ramp. Another sighting was reported on February 28, 2015 in Asheville, North Carolina. There have been many sightings since," according to a "media profile" created by the family to help locate Renee.

Family members say Renee has amnesia. Specifically, she suffers from Dissociative Fugue Disorder, a rare diagnosis that involves disruptions or breakdowns of memory, awareness, identity, or perception. Prior to her disappearance, she is believed to have had a nervous breakdown following a difficult period in her life.

Renee LaManna has been quoted as saying, “I have been looking for my family for a long time. I can’t understand why they can’t find me.”

"Renee does not know her name or how long she has been away. She may be using the names of Renee Leman, Renee Leeman, Darleen Hanson, Darleen Hartfield, Darleen Hatfield, Jean Smith, Josephine Pagano, Joyce Silvers and many other aliases," the profile states.

The family believes Renee is visiting truck stops and hitchhiking in an effort to locate her family.

"Renee is sweet, soft spoken and harmless. She does not drink, smoke or do drugs. She needs medical attention. Her family loves and misses her and wants her home," her sister said.
