Missing Barnegat Man Found

A missing Barnegat man who was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by Barnegat Police on Saturday has been found in South Brunswick.

A motorist saw a 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Anthony Granese, 77, of the Mirage development in Barnegat on Route 130. Granese was taken into custody by South Brunswick Police awaiting his family.

Granese was last seen at Island Beach State Park in Berkeley on Saturday afternoon asking a police officer for directions to the southbound Garden State Parkway. He was thought to be heading to the Manahawkin area and was the subject of Silver Alert messages posted across the state on highway message boards.
