Four men and one juvenile from Millville are accused of rifling and looting sda machines at the Holiday Inn of Manahawkin early this morning.

Curtis Turner, 31, and Thomas Capece, 32, were arrested by Officers Neil McKenna and John Morrin as they tried to run, according to the police report. also arrested were Melquan Kent, 18; Albert Souders, 31; and C.P., age 16, who were in the parking lot.

Police say that a hotel worker called them around 3:00 AM to report that two men entered an employees-only area. One, police were told, had entered the hotel on the premise of using a rest room, then opened a side door to let in a second individual.

Investigators confronting Kent, Soulders and the teen in the lot were told that they were waiting for friends inside. Reports say they found the vending-machine padlocks in the employee lounge cut, and were able to recover goods and change.

Police say Turner and Capece had a bolt cutter and a ring of barrel keys used to open soda-machine doors.

All five are charged with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief, eluding police and conspiracy.

Turner, Capece, Kent and Soulders were shuffled to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, in lieu of bail. The teenager was released to his mother to await juvenile complaints.
