Andrew J. Cantagallo was arrested Wednesday morning at his Pheasant Run dwelling in the borough's Clarksburg section, according to information from the office of acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.

Cantagallo was placed in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold. His bail was set with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.

Investigators obtained a search warrant after fielding a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). It described salacious images involving children believed to have been uploaded to a Twitter account from an IP address that was traced to Cantagallo's house.

He faces one second-degree charge of endangering the welfare of a child, related to pornography distribution, and a third-degree endangerment count related to pornography possession.

If convicted of the second-degree charge, Cantagallo would face up to 10 years on conviction and would be required to comply with provisions of Megan's Law upon release. The third-degree charge carries a possible sentence of three to five years.
