If you're a guy who loves to sing, and you want to take it beyond the shower, car or karaoke night, the Red Bank chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society gives you a chance to raise your personal bar, free of charge.

"Ready-Set-Sing," under the guidance of Craig Page, Musical Director of the Chorus of the Atlantic, runs on successive Tuesdays from September 20 through October 25, at Red Bank Middle School on Harding Road.

Who knows? You might be the next Charlie Puth, Nick Jonas, Tony Bennett or Placido Domingo.

"Give us six Tuesday evenings," Page said, "and we'll give you the skills you need to experience all the fun of solo or group singing."

Beginners and experience singers alike can take part. Learning material is provided at no cost. Organizers recommend advance registration.

Page said that the ability to read music isn't a requirement. We'll teach you everything you need to know to sing richly and resonantly and produce ear-pleasing harmony. You'll soon be enjoying the ringing of beautiful a cappella chords, the company of a great bunch of fellow singers, and the thrill of performing for enthusiastic audiences."

Registration is under way at the Red Bank Chapter web page, where there's also a full listing of upcoming appearances. To learn more, write to redbankchorus@gmail.com or call 732-784-7343.
