Members From The Toms River First Aid Squad Went To IHOP – Then Something Amazing Happened

Every day we get horrible news of some kind, whether it’s covered by the mainstream news, or not -- it’s out there. Today, we get to take a break from that and hear about a local first aid squad that was treated breakfast by a woman that wanted to remain anonymous.

Members from the Toms River First Aid Squad were at the Toms River IHop earlier today when they were going to pay their bill but ultimately discovered someone had already picked up the tab.

According to an article published by The Patch, the group of six were just getting off of work and had done the overnight shift when they received the good deed. The note read “Paid, thank you for all that you do! Have a great day! - Recovering Addict” and was accompanied by a smiley face.

The Toms River First Aid Squad took to Facebook and said “To the woman who paid our tab today at IHOP, thank you so much for paying for our breakfast. This gift was amazingly thoughtful, and brought our table of tired EMTs to tears. We are so blessed to be able to serve you and everyone else who lives and works in the greater Toms River area. Good luck on your journey of recovery!”
