This sweetheart is looking for a forever home.
This adorable and sweet little girl is Powder, a 2 year old pointer/pit mix that is dreaming of a great home with a family to spoil her silly. Powder got her name not only because of her color, but because her personality is just so soft and fluffy, like a powder puff. She is the type to come to you with a little bit of sadness in her eyes, tail going a mile a minute, and crawl up into your lap to feel safe and secure. She absolutely adores people and bonds with new friends instantly. She came to us from our Newark facility when she was found as a stray, and we can't imagine how she ever got lost.....she sticks to you like glue! This is one pup that does not want to be running around the world on her own. Powder is very ladylike, and she is very gentle with taking treats and checking out toys. She is not that food-driven and when she has had enough treats, she will politely turn her head. When she relaxes, she will let her hair down and play, run, and be a silly puppy. For as sweet as she is, she is a bit obnoxious when she passes other dogs, but it seems that she was just not socialized with them much. If you are interested in her, bring your dog in and we'll see how it goes. She will need a home with no cats or small dogs though. Powder is ready to meet her special someone that will give her all the love and happiness that she deserves.
