When Dublin came to us with a muzzle clipped tightly around his head, trembling and scared, we didn't quite know what to make of this big, scared boy. His owner of the last 6 1/2 years was turning him in because he had to go away for work for a while and no longer had time for Dublin. This 7 year old rottweiler mix that was adopted from us so long ago as just a puppy was just terrified. He sat in the back of his run, cowering in the corner, and did not move for two days straight. Finally, we were able to coax him out and quickly discovered that Dublin is just a big mush, but his fear got the better of him. Dublin is now putting his past behind him, meeting new people, and looking forward to a bright new future. Dublin is cautious with meeting new people but once he has checked you out, he'll be your best friend. He is extremely well behaved and walks like a gentleman on a leash, is housebroken, takes treats gently, and is even a little playful too. Dublin has been with other dogs and cats and is fine with them, but will need a home with no young children as he is still a bit fearful of loud noises and commotion. He is very hopeful that his stay with us will be short and that he'll get noticed by a loving family that will welcome him into their hearts and homes and let him stay forever.
