Derrick Jamal Federick was indicted Wednesday by an Ocean County grand jury for incidents that took place mid-2012 in Monmouth County. The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office offered no reason for the change of venue.

Federick is accused of assaulting a woman who was 31 years old at the time of the May 29 incident in her Aberdeen home, and also a woman who was 49 when her Matawan home was looted August 18.

He's in the Monmouth County Correctional Facility, with bail set at $1,000,000 by Monmouth Superior Court Judge Thomas Scully.

If convicted of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, Federick could be sentenced to as many as 20 years in prison. He also faces second-degree charges of attempted aggravated sexual assault and burglary and a third-degree count of criminal restraint.
