Two Marlboro teens face kidnapping charges, and a slew of other counts, in Howell Township. in connection with what police describe as retaliation for a drug deal ripoff that eventually terrorized a total stranger.

Moamen Abdelmeguid, 18, and a 16-year-old are also charged with terroristic threats, burglary, simple assault and drug-related counts. Their alleged connecdtion, Joseph Arnold, 19, is charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and with theft.

According to police the two Marlboro teens ventured to the Windmill Club development on April 6, at about 6:30 PM and handed money to Arnold for drugs, but Arnold took the money and ran, leaving them with an address other than his own.

Abdelmeguid and the minor appeared at what they thought was Arnold's house, occupied by another individual with no connection to any of them, police said..

The pair allegedly grabbed their victim in a choke hold, forced him into their car, drove for about five mniutes in search of Arnold, and threatened to shoot their captive unless he led them to Arnold. They returned to the victim's house, let him return inside to search, and left empty-handed while the victim called police.

Investigators said that the victim was unhurt. Abdelmeguid was placed in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (MCCI) in Freehold, and the minor was released to his parents. Arnold was found and charged afterward.
