As we dig out of this record setting March storm, New Jersey experienced a winter storm in spring that shattered historic numbers.

As we reported earlier this week, the previous record for March 21st at Newark Airport was 5.3" back in 1958, which was easily eclipsed by yesterday's beast of a nor'easter, which the National Weather Service reports dumped 7.9" of snow at the airport.

But that was nothing compared to what we ended up getting here at the shore, where some parts of Ocean County saw well over a foot of accumulation.

Here's the latest data from NWS:

  • Lacey 15.0 (The highest reported total in the state so far)
  • Brick Twp 14.7
  • Bayville 14.5
  • Waretown 13.0
  • Whiting 12.5
  • Toms River 12.0
  • Jackson Twp. 10.5
  • Lakewood 10.0
  • Lakehurst 10.0
  • Point Pleasant Beach 9.5
  • Tuckerton 9.5
  • Barnegat 9.0
  • South Seaside Park 8.0
  • Little Egg Harbor 8.0
