Mantoloking Getting $1.75M for Debris Removal
Mantoloking's heavy lift to demolish houses destroyed in the Superstorm and haul away the remains just lightened up considerably.
The borough is receiving a $1,750,685.63 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to be used for contractors involved in demolition, loading, disposal and monitoring of private property debris removal (PPDR).
Shore Representative Jon Runyan (R-3) announced the grant today.
“Immediately following Superstorm Sandy, I saw first-hand the destruction and damage in Mantoloking, and it was without a doubt one of the hardest hit towns,” said Runyan in a prepared release.
"These funds...will ensure that Mantoloking has the resources it needs to be made whole again.”
