The body of a man found floating in the Shrewsbury River in Highlands last week is reportedly that of missing fisherman Edward Broderick, according to the Asbury Park Press. The determination was made after his body was pulled from the water at the Captain's Cove Marina by the New Jersey State Police.
Broderick, 39 of Sea Bright has been missing since December 14th after a friend notified officials when he failed to return home from a clamming expedition.  His vessel was found shortly after the missing persons report submerged just outside the same Marina.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing but foul play is not suspected.
