Being stopped for a motor vehicle violation is the least of a Manchester woman's worries after Lakehurst Police say they found Carly S. Stevenson under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

The 20-year old was also allegedly found in possession of several empty wax folds of heroin, a hypodermic syringe or needle and an open container of alcohol in the car following her Saturday afternoon arrest.

Police say they found Stevenson showing signs of being under the influence after they pulled her over in her 200 Chrysler around 12:19 pm for a "Maintenance of Lamps" violation.

She was subsequently charged with Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe or Needle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Stevenson was also given two motor vehicle summonses for Maintenance of Lamps and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.

She was processed at police headquarters and released on a summons pending a mandatory court appearance.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
