When we think about the law enforcement officers that keep us safe here in Ocean County, we shouldn't forget about the 4-legged officers who work right along side their human handlers and put themselves in harm's way every day.

And now, Manchester Township Police have a new kennel to keep K-9 officers Storm and Lynk comfortable while their handlers, Ptl. Marc Micciulla and Ptl. Steven Wendruff are doing business inside headquarters.

The new digs come thanks to generous donations to the Manchester Township Police Foundation from local residents, businesses, and community organizations

In a press release from the department, head of the K-9 unit, Lt. James Sharkey said:

“We’re always grateful to the members of the community who keep our K-9 Unit in mind as they support local worthy causes. The public support our K-9s continue to receive is very impressive and greatly appreciated,”

The new Kennel for Storm and Lynk is right on the grounds of the Municipal Complex in Manchester Township.
