Picture perfect weather conditions this weekend but that didn't prevent a pedestrian from getting hit on Route 530 in Manchester Saturday morning.  Police said the incident occurred near the intersection of South Columbus and Route 530 at around 9:30 a.m., where Seventy-one-year-old Pauline Zuccaro was making her way across the busy roadway when she was struck by a vehicle making a left turn.

Zuccaro was knocked to the ground by the 2002 Chrysler Concord being operated by Whiting resident 66-year-old Carole Tunstall.  While the vehicle's side fender and door made contact with Zuccaro, police said she did not suffer any life threatening injuries and was concious and alert when first responders arrived.

Zuccaro was taken to Community Medical Center and was treated for leg, back, shoulder and chest pain.

The crash is under investigation by Patrolman Antoinio Ellis of the Manchester Township Traffic Safety Section.
