Howard Hunton, 84, was last seen earlier today in Crestwood Village Three, near Valley Forge Drive, according to township police. Turns out that he was at a medical appointment.

Manchester PD Captain Todd Mailand described Hunton as having salt-and-pepper-colored hair and blue eyes. They said that when last seen, he was clad in a red windbreaker and black trousers.

He was found within about a half-hour of the alert sent by police on their Facebook page and through the Nixel alert system..

According to Mailand, an acquaintance of Hunton's, not knowing his whereabouts, became alarmed and notified police, unaware that a member of Hunton's family takes him to regularly-scheduled medical appointments on Fridays in Toms River.

Manchester PD's main line is 732-657-6111.
