Darren J. Kross, 38, faces several counts lodged by township police after a Monday search of his property. Authorities say they uncovered more than 350 grams of marijuana, drug-related items, packing equipment and scales.

Police say that Kross was away from the house during the search, but turned himself in Monday night.

He's charged with possession with intent to distribute less than five pounds of marijuana, possession of more than 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in default of $25,000 bail.

Investigations were conducted by township police and Ocean County Sheriff's Officer Ted Wielichoski with his K-9 partner Nash.
