Manchester Man Charged For Killing His Elderly Neighbor

A Manchester Township man faces robbery and multiple murder counts for the death of his elderly neighbor in the mobile home park where they both lived.

Alan Bienkowski, 54, is being indicted for the murder of 76 year old Anthony Verdicchio, who was found dead in his home at Pine Acres Manor Mobile Home Park in May 13th. Police found Verdicchio in his home unconscious and not breathing,  an autopsy showed he died from blunt force trauma to the head and face. It was ruled a homicide.

If convicted, Bienkowski can face life in prison, with a mandatory thirty years sentence as a minimum. He is currently being held in the Monmouth County Jail for an unrelated murder charge.
