Frank S. Lochwood was apprehended at his home in Whiting Wednesday after an online investigation that lasted several months, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

It wasn't immediately clear when the first arrest took place.

A scan of the New Jersey State Police sex offender registry reveals no listing for Frank S. Lochwood.
Members of the county High Tech Crime Unit, agents of U.S. Immgration and Customs Enforcement and township police took Lochwood into custody amid a warrant search.

A forensic examination of Lochwood's computer showed "numerous images depicting the sexual exploitation of children," investigators said.

Lochwood was given a third-degree possession charge and placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. His bail was set at $50,000 with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.
