Manchester Car Burglaries Proliferate, Police Seek Home Surveillance Images
Suspects in an unrelenting string of car burglaries in Manchester might be as close as your home surveillance monitor.
Police are asking homeowners to review video captured in their systems as they probe nighttime lootings of mostly-unlocked cars that have plagued at least seven neighborhoods.
According to investigators, the bulk of the reports have arrived from the township’s Pine Lake Park section. Reports have streamed in from the Holly Oaks, Renaissance, Leisure Village, Leisure Knoll, Pine Ridge and Crestwood Village enclaves as well.
If anything unusual shows up in your video images, reach Manchester Police at 732-657-1111. The department also maintains a web-based tipline at their web page.
Police also underscore the need to be vigilant about house and car doors and windows, locking them when no one will be present, and reporting suspicious activity to police immediately.
