Manchester Auxiliary Police Welcome 6 New Officers
Six recruits of the Manchester Auxiliary Police Unit were sworn in Wednesday evening, marking the completion of their three month training academy.
Township Clerk Sabina Skibo administered the Oath of Office to six auxiliary officers and one auxiliary officer who was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
The six new officers are:
Matthew Chester
Michael Drybola
Bernadette Warren
Lee Olson
Michael Mancini
Dominick Fresco III
Additionally, Auxiliary Officer John Miceli will be promoted to the rank of Auxiliary Sergeant.
This is the first time in the history of the Division that a basic auxiliary police academy has been conducted in house.
In the past, Manchester recruits, who were selected for auxiliary police training, were sent to the Toms River Police Department to complete the training academy.
All six recruits completed 60 hours of training, which far exceeds the State's minimum requirement of 36 hours.
