Three men allegedly forced their way into a Lakewood home on Eisenhower Street Monday night, shooting another man in the head. One suspect is in custody and facing a raft of charges, according to township police.

Terence Ousley, 27, of Asbury Park, is charged with attempted murder, burglary, robbery, possession of a handgun and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, with bail set at a full $150,000 in Ocean County Superior Court.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and is expected to recover, police said.

Officers responding to the Pine Acres Development at about 9 PM were told by witnesses that three men entered the house and demanded money. Onlookers told police that they heard a gunshot just before they exited.

Ousley was spotted on nearby Dorchester Drive by Patrolman John Ganley, who initially charged him with trespassing in the complex.

Lakewood PD Officer Steve Kelusak and Detective John Murphy of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office established Ousley as one of the break-in suspects.

Investigators seek additional information. Murphy can be reached at 732-929-2027. Kelusak's line is 732-262-0200, ext. 5349.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9 and crime scene investigation units, and a K-9 team provided by Toms River Police.
