MacArthur places presidential inauguration tickets up for grabs
Want to see President-elect Donald Trump take the oath of office, live and in person in Washington? You can, if you win the ticket lottery that shore Representative Tom MacArthur just opened for residents in his Third Congressional District.
The Republican, entering his second term, isn't disclosing how many admission passes he'll have to spread through the district. However, he does say that his office has fielded dozens of requests.
"For more than 200 years, American citizens have witnessed the Inauguration ceremonies of the President and Vice President of the United States,” MacArthur said.
“From the first Inauguration of George Washington to today, millions have gathered to witness the historical ceremony that demonstrates continuity of leadership and unity nationwide"
Enter by visiting the ticket lottery portal on MacArthur's web page. The deadline is January 13, 2017. Phone requests will not be accepted.
