Christopher "Chato" Aparicio-Reyes, 21, faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of Jennifer A. Pizzuto, 40, also of Long Branch.

According to the office of acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni, Pizzuto was found dead in a second-floor bedroom by city police who were summoned to the Rockwell Avenue house at 10:38 PM.

Aparicio-Reyes was apprehended without incident Monday in an apartment on Sixth Avenue, authorities said.

He was given no option for release on payment of 10 percent, and was ordered to stay away from the crime scene if he did manage to reach bail.

Investigators offered no insight into the circumstances, cause or manner of Pizzuto's death, or how they traced it to Aparicio-Reyes.

The probe continues under the direction of Monmouth County Detective Ryu Washburne, 8=1-800-533-7443, and Long Branch PD Detective Marshall Brown, 732-222-1000.
