Acting Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni tells Townsquare Media the threat, claiming a bomb was inside the building,  came into to Holmdel Police via 911 around 11:40 a.m.

SJV was immediately put into lockdown and students & staff evacuated to the football field as police and tactical teams rushed to the private Catholic high school's campus on Line Road as roads surrounding the school were closed off.

Students were then taken to St. Benedict's School where they are being picked up by their buses according to the school website. Parents will be allowed to pick up their children after the buses leave.

K9 and tactical teams completed two sweeps of the school before declaring the threat to be a hoax. Holmdel Fire Department personnel will do one last sweep of the school on Wednesday afternoon.

One parent tells Townsquare students were searched as they entered St. Benedict's.

In a statement on the Diocese of Trenton website, Bishop David M. O’Connell said, “I want to express my deepest gratitude to the administration, faculty and staff of St. John Vianney High School for their prompt and immediate actions to keep our students safe. I also want to thank St. Benedict’s Parish and School community for providing a safe and comfortable shelter for the evacuated high school students.

O'Connell says the quick evacuation of the school prevented staff from sending any immediate alerts to parents of the situation because the needed equipment was inside the building. "Technology staffers were able to set up remote capabilities and an alert did go out in the afternoon," explained O'Connell.

Gramiccioni says no arrests have been made for the threat. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Prosecutor's Office at 800-533-7443.
