Imagine going home and finding an alligator in your driveway? That's what happened to a Middletown family Friday at the start of the Memorial Day weekend. According to NJ.com, the reptile was discovered at around 10:45 a.m. in front of a Hartshorne Road house.

The 2 1/2 foot alligator was removed by a Middletown Township animal control official who secured it with a blanket and placed it in an animal carrier.

Police say they don't know where it came from.
