Little Egg Harbor Man Accused Of Stealing Senior’s Credit Cards

A Little Egg Harbor man is arrested for allegedly trying to scam senior citizens by stealing their credit cards and using them for personal purchases.

Stafford police arrested and charged Christopher Wells, 26, on Monday with two counts of Theft and Credit Card Fraud. Well's arrest stemmed from two seperate incidents that occured in November and December of 2011.

Allegedly Wells followed two elderly women at the Wal Mart and K Mart stores on Rt 72 in Stafford Township. When their attention was diverted, Wells allegedly would take the wallet's from their open purse and remove the credit and debit cards. He's accused of making purchases in other towns totaling 3,500 dollars.

He was processed and released pending court order.
