While we've been riding this spring 2018 weather roller coaster, there is one thing that is an unmistakable sign that spring has indeed arrived in Ocean County, temperature be darned!

One of the things that I love about living in Ocean County as opposed to, say, the more heavily developed areas of Central NJ, is our abundant nature.

While my schedule gets me home after sunset most of the year, I love being greeted by the chorus of spring peepers which, in my neighborhood, can actually get pretty loud.

How loud? This audio recording is just from setting my phone on my patio table:

They're loud enough to hear even through closed windows, but when it's mild enough I love to crack my bedroom window and let the loud chorus of frogs lull me to sleep.
