The Monmouth Vicinage's Latino outreach runs 10 AM 'til 12 Noon in the Monmouth County Courthouse in Freehold. It is the latest in a series of similar efforts that date back to 2006.

The initiative's aim is to reinforce ties to the Latino community and promote effective use of the justice system through broader knowledge.

Presentations include introductions to educational and social services providers. Organizers also plan to offer information on small claims, landlord-tenant issues, domestic violence, and child support matters.

Attendees also will learn about court-supplied interpreting services, help for legal self-representation, employment and volunteer opportunities, and Judiciary's Spanish-language website, njcourts.com.

Assignment Judge Lawrence M. Lawson, Judge Honora O’Brien Kilgallen and Acting Trial Court Administrator Lori B. Cooper are among those taking part.
