Lakewood Toddler Falls from Upstairs Window

A Lakewood toddler is in serious condition after falling from a second story window in her family's home Thursday. 

The two-year-old girl underwent emergency surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, according to The Lakewood Scoop.

The child reportedly was leaning against a screen when it gave way. She fell about 20 feet to the ground level and was found unresponsive, but breathing.

The Lakewood Detectives Bureau is investigating the incident.
