Lakewood Sets Industrial Commission Leaders

New leadership takes the Lakewood Industrial Commission into its 53rd year of guiding the township's growth in jobs, commerce and economics.

Robert Kirschner, operator of Robert Kirschner Real Estate, assumes the chairmanship. His slate of officers includes vice-chair Shlomo Katz, of Olympic Properties, and secretary Justin Flancbaum, who directs the Lakewood Municipal Utilities Authority. Both specialize in residential and commercial real estate development.

Appointed to the Board of Commissioners are Gregory Stafford-Smith, AG&G Sprinkler System Services; Neil Brooks, owner of Neil Brooks Plumbing, Heating and Cooling; developer Sam Rabinowitz; and Edwin Schuster, owner of E.J. Schuster's Office Supplies and Furniture.

LIC members are given five-year appointments by the Township Committee.

Steven Reinman is the Commission's Executive Director. His secretary-designee is Anita Doyle, who is also Deputy Coordinator of the Lakewood Development Corporation and Executive Assistant for Lakewood Township and the Lakewood Airport.

Deputy Mayor Steven Langert is this year's Township Committee Liaison to the LIC. The Commission's attorney is Sean T. Kean, also a New Jersey Assemblyman. Jeffrey Staiger of Remington and Vernick Engineering is the LIC Engineer.
