Two incidents of molestation involving a four-year-old girl places a Lakewood man in prison for 15 years.

Belsay Guzman Hernandez, 53, of Lakewood, was sentenced Friday in Ocean County Superior Court for a first-degree charge of aggravated sexual assault, according to the office of County Prosecutor Jospeh D. Coronato.

Hernandez was charged on June 11, 2015, following two days of investigaiton by Lakewood and county law enforcement, based on a referral from the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency.

He has remained in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River throughout the year since his arrest, on $150,000 bail.

Investigators said the Hernandez and the girl were acquainted prior to the reported incidents.

Sources close to the investigation said that Hernandez's case was resolved prior to any indictment proceedings in December, under terms of the Jessica Lunsford Act, and that psychological examinations found him not repetitive or compulsive.

Judge James M. Blaney ordered Hernandez to serve the full sentence, undergo lifetime parole supervision, register as a sex offender under terms of Megan's Law, and avoid contact with the victim under stipulations of Nicole's Law.
